Product Introduction
The grounding transformer (also known as neutral point grounding transformer) is a power transformer with special purpose and is mainly used in power systems where the neutral point is not directly grounded or grounded through high impedance, so as to provide an artificial neutral point and limit the grounding fault current. It plays a key role in power grid safe operation, over-voltage suppression and fault protection.
Product Specifications
Voltage level: 10 kV - 35 kV
Rated capacity: 30-5700 kVA
Frequency: 50/60 Hz
Number of phases: Three
Connection group: ZNyn11/ZN
Insulation class: F/H/A
Standard: IEC/GB/ANSI/IEEE/NEMA
Product Features
1) In a triangular (Δ) connection or a grid without neutral point, artificial neutral points are generated through a zigzag (Z-shaped) winding or a star (YN) connection.
2) By high-impedance design or matching resistors, the single-phase grounding fault current can be controlled within a safe range to prevent equipment damage (for example, 10 A - 200 A).
3) Restrain the over-voltage in the system caused by lightning stroke, operation or resonance, and protect the equipment with weak insulation.
4) It adopts a fully sealed structure (oil-immersed type) or dry insulation (epoxy resin casting), and is suitable for harsh, moist or filthy environments. The product has a rich series and a strong short-circuit resistance with low loss and low noise.
